A medical apparel brand established in 2008.Everything started after a doctor commented, “Why aren’t there any cool-looking lab coats?”
We design, develop, and sell stylish Italian-tailored white lab coats, as well as stethoscopes, shoes, and other medical apparel.
Although we are relatively new to this industry, we strive to add value to the experience of healthcare workers by listening to the voices of end users firsthand, through our direct-to-consumer (D2C) approach.
Classico supports healthcare professionals by providing medical apparel that they can feel totally comfortable with.We are developing our business to help soften the tough working environments of the medical industry and boost the motivation of healthcare workers.

Three-dimensional design using tailored technology
The design and pattern-making of our lab coats are handled by Classico co-founder Nobuo Ohmameuda, who previously worked as a cutter and designer for a studio making Italian-style tailored suits. All our coats are designed to combine beautiful style with practicality and ease of use.
Developed from scratch in-house, starting with materials
To cope with the rigorous demands of medical work, the fabric requires a variety of functions, such as stretch, odor resistance, water absorption, and antibacterial properties. At the same time, a sense of luxury and quality, and other fashion elements are also essential. To meet all these requirements, Classico conducts its own materials research and fabric development.
Produced using first-class sewing technology
Even if products are tailored the same way, they will look completely different depending on the maker. Classico’s lab coats are made only at selected production facilities in Japan equipped with the most advanced sewing technology, and capable of outstanding product finishing, quality, and management.
Brand
Classico is a brand of stylish lab coats that are designed to uplift the spirits of the people who wear them. Using sophisticated tailoring technology, we strive to create lab coats that are both beautiful and highly functional.
Classico’s line of scrubs was created with the desire to “bring a smile to medical workplaces” through “collaboration scrubs,” as well as to break down traditional boundaries by promoting the use of scrubs not only by busy medical workers, but also by artists, photographers, and for movies, music, and drama characters.
We are also collaborating with Gelato Pique, a room wear brand founded on the concept “dessert for adults.” Along with lab coats and scrubs, we also offer merchandise through this partnership.

Established in 1955, this international award is considered one of the world's three major design awards.
