Introduction to the hospital and nursing department
Sakado Central Hospital, located in Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture, is the core hospital in the area that opened in 1961. Its motto is "Wagen Aigo," which means exchanging gentle, loving words with a gentle smile.
Its philosophy is to always see things from the patient's perspective. The hospital is also certified by the Hospital Accreditation Organization, which recognizes the provision of high-quality medical care.
The nursing department, which interacts with patients on the front lines, symbolizes "Wagen Aigo." Its members constantly smile to ease patients' anxiety and actively encourage each other within the team.
Purpose and impressions of introducing white coats and scrubs
We interviewed the head of nursing, Yashima, about her impressions of the Clasico uniforms.
I had given up on making everyone happy, but I could make it happen with Classico.

This time, we unified all the uniforms for nurses and nursing assistants to Clasico products. The introduction was because the uniforms we had been using until then had faded quite a bit, so we decided to replace them with new ones. Since the nursing department is a large group, the head nurses initially chose candidates, saying, No matter what we do, we can't choose something that will satisfy everyone." There is a wide range of staff, from young staff who have just graduated from university to those over 60 years old, so we tried to choose something that would cause as little dissatisfaction as possible. 
After narrowing down the manufacturers to a few companies, the general affairs manager said, We have a uniform in collaboration with Gelato Pique." I knew it was a good one, but initially hesitated, saying, "I can't ask for something so expensive." But the general affairs manager said, "That's fine! Let's express our wishes as much as we can."
The nurses had a hard time during the COVID-19 pandemic and have worked hard ever since. Hence, initially trying to be patient, the head nurses started to feel like, "That's right." Also, we were concerned about the fading and wrinkles of the previous uniforms, so we decided to buy something of higher quality that would last longer. This is what led to Classico becoming a candidate.
After that, we tried on samples, including models other than the Gelato Pique collaboration, and the fabric felt different from the previous uniforms. It was light and cool, and everyone was surprised, saying, "Wow, it's completely different!" It was thick but smooth and not hot, and it was comfortable because it didn't cling to us.
Previously, we had to choose between comfort and design, and if we chose an excellent shape, it would be a bit tight, so we had to give up one of them... But the head nurses said, "It fulfills all those requirements." It can be worn beautifully and comfortably regardless of physique or age, so everyone agreed it was "Classico."
Not only the top but also the pants were the most comfortable. I worried the waist would look sloppy because it is elastic instead of a zipper. Still, it is moderately formal and easy to wear. It has the advantage of being suitable for both formal and casual people. As for the colors, I initially wanted to specify two colors. But all four colors of the Gelato Pique collaboration were good, and I couldn't decide... Also, it would be nice to be able to choose your favorite color as a fun thing to do during a difficult job. Since we decided on the product, we wanted to let them choose the color.
We didn't specify the color of the pants, and the men said, "I'm happy that I can freely combine navy and white." Everyone seems to like all the colors. The hospital only allows you to purchase three, so some people even bought other colors at their own expense. We purchased these uniforms at the end of the year and started wearing them just after the new year, and everyone came to work with a bright smile. They look more lively and agile. The uniforms of the outpatient nurses were particularly wrinkly, but changing them to nice ones will make a better impression on patients.
Even in the changing room, they often say things like, "You're wearing the same one today!" or "That's nice too!" it seems to be a good conversation starter. Nursing is a tough job, but wearing these will make them feel positive and want to "do their best."
