About the Hospital & Team
Oshida Animal Hospital sits in Fujimino, Saitama. Its bright, open waiting room is filled with light from large windows, with separate areas for dogs and cats so that owners and pets alike can wait in comfort.
The clinic is well equipped, too — six consulting rooms, an operating theatre and an X-ray room. Vets, veterinary nurses, groomers, care staff and reception work as one team to deliver attentive, high-quality care.
Why They Chose Classico: Goals & Feedback
We spoke with Dr Oshida, director of Oshida Animal Hospital, about his experience.

We've used Classico scrubs for a long time. We opened in 2008, and two or three years in I wanted to buy good-quality scrubs. I tried them myself first, liked them so much that the staff followed — that was how it started. Back then we only had four or five staff; even now, at this size, the whole clinic still wears them.

However tough the fabric, scrubs worn in a veterinary clinic can still snag, tear or fray on a dog's or cat's claws. The trade tends to buy lower-cost ones and replace them often to keep them looking smart — but I tend to prioritise functionality. For example, animal smells used to linger all day, but with Classico scrubs the odour doesn't bother me, which is a real help. Fur doesn't cling either, and when it does, a quick brush sorts it. From the very first wear they worked without a hitch — exactly the easy-to-use fit I'd pictured for a veterinary clinic.

And what I like even more than the function is the colour. These soft colours are unique to Classico — I don't think you'll find them anywhere else. Bright, bold scrubs have their place too; they feel cheerful and full of energy...Just like a hospital for people, a veterinary clinic has moments full of smiles and moments full of grief. When an owner is listening through floods of tears, I sometimes wonder, 'Should I really be wearing such a bright colour?' In moments like those, soft-coloured scrubs give a gentler impression, so they feel easier to wear whatever the situation.

Some of the owners who visit are healthcare professionals themselves — doctors and the like — and they sometimes ask, 'Where are those scrubs from?Twenty years ago, hardly any veterinary clinics wore scrubs. I wore them when I was in the US, but the fabric was very dark and so thin it tore almost straight away. Now scrubs are the norm, and there are plenty of stylish ones to choose from.

As the owner, nothing would make me happier than seeing everyone work happily in the colours and designs they love. Right now we're split by role, but Classico's scrubs come in such beautiful colours that I'd like to bring in more of them, more freely.
